BOTTOM-OF-THE-TABLE Hartlepool will entertain York City tomorrow with manager Paul Murray still searching for his first league win at the Victoria Park helm.

Former QPR and Oldham midfielder Murray, 38, has taken one point from a possible nine, after taking over the reins from caretaker chief Sam Collins, who replaced previous boss Colin Cooper for four games last month.

Murray, who is assisted by former Scotland international Willie Donachie, has managed one win in charge - a 2-0 FA Cup triumph over East Thurrock United that has teed up a mouthwatering second round home clash with part-time neighbours Blyth Spartans - but the club remain Sky Bet League Two's lowest marksmen with just 12 goals from their 17 matches.

In fact, only Championship strugglers Blackpool (11) have netted fewer times in the entire Football League.

On-loan Middlesbrough forward Charlie Wyke is the team's top scorer this term with four goals but the 21-year-old has failed to net in five matches.

Former West Ham and Aston Villa veteran striker Marlon Harewood, now 35, is currently on the bench having only scored once in 20 games, while 24-year-old rookie Scott Fenwick made his debut as a second-half substitute during last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Southend.

That outing represented a professional debut for ex-Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough striker Fenwick, who has been recruited from Northern League outfit Dunston UTS and is expected to retain his place on the bench against the Minstermen.

Fenwick was Murray's third signing following the loan arrivals of Sidney Schmeltz and Nicky Featherstone from Oldham and Scunthorpe respectively, but the new chief is currently without the services of three senior players.

Winger Jack Compton and one-time Middlesbrough defender Stuart Parnaby are both out with knee trouble, while 35-year-old, ex-Ipswich and Sunderland midfielder Tommy Miller is struggling with a calf problem.

On-loan midfielder Matt Crooks has also returned to parent club Huddersfield having being substituted after less than an hour at Southend and his place in the side is expected to be filled by 21-year-old, youth-team graduate Jordan Richards.

Ex-City under-18 scholar Michael Duckworth, meanwhile, will start for the hosts and has netted twice in 16 starts from right back this season.

Hartlepool have not won any of their last five home games in the league since a 2-0 triumph over Shrewsbury on September 6 and have only taken one point from a possible 15 in all matches.

Hartlepool (probable): Flinders, Duckworth, Collins, Harrison, Austin, Featherstone, Franks, Walker, Richards, Schmeltz, Wyke.
