SELBY Town's unbeaten knockout record will be put to the test this week.

The Robins host Conference North outfit Guiseley in round two of the West Riding County Cup tonight (7.45pm), before Seaham Red Star visit Flaxley Road in round one of the FA Vase on Saturday.

Manager Dave Ricardo has steered his side to wins the early stages of those two competitions, plus the Northern Counties East League Cup.

"We are still unbeaten in cup games but that will be tested this week," he said. "I will take a couple of draws.

"They are two hard games, but it gives the squad the opportunity to prove themselves against higher opposition.

"I don't know what sort of team Guiseley will bring. They played Grimsby Town in the FA Cup at the weekend so it will be interesting to see.

"It is all about how we approach the game."

Selby were without 13 first team players on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Teversal in NCEL division one.

Eight of those will be available for the Guiseley tie, with Ricardo adding: "It was a poor game on Saturday but we were missing so many players it was a case of all hands on deck.

"We have got a squad of 17 to choose from tonight so we shouldn't have any excuses."

Nathan Kamara is still suspended, while Craig Muirhead and Jack Binns remain on the injured list.
