YORK’S Neil Hart paired up with England international Zoe Jones to reach the Top of Ghent mixed pairs competition semi-finals on his BDO debut.
Hart also reached the last 32 of the men’s pairs at the Belgium event with Josh McCarthy.
Earlier, Hart had unluckily lost 4-2 to Luxembourg Open finalist Mark Oosterhuis in his first singles tournament on the tour.
The York Darts Promotions founder checked out on 101 for a 15-dart leg to level at 1-1, going ahead with a 17-dart effort.
But Dutchman Oosterhuis won the next leg after Hart missed double tops, forged in front with a maximum 170 finish as his opponent waited on 32 after 12 darts before sealing the win in the sixth leg
