PROMOTION hopefuls Shrewsbury will be looking to end a 14-game run without an away league win at York City tomorrow.

That sorry sequence stretches back to a 3-2 triumph at Notts County back in February and the Shrews have lost their last five matches on the road without scoring, going down at Plymouth (1-0), Southend (1-0), Stevenage (1-0), Hartlepool (2-0) and Preston (1-0).

The Shropshire side, who lie one point and one place outside the Sky Bet League Two play-off places, have now failed to net for eight hours and 22 minutes on the road since Andy Mangan managed the only goal in a shock Capital One Cup victory at Premier League Leicester.

In fact, 16 of Shrewsbury's 18 points have been garnered at their New Meadow Stadium this term.

Mangan and Jim Collins are this term's top scorers, with five goals apiece, while former Leeds United winger Andy Robinson (knee) will be the only absentee against the Minstermen.

The visitors are expected to field a 3-5-2 formation with former Republic of Ireland international Liam Lawrence expected to earn a recall to the first XI in midfield.

Shrewsbury (probable): Leutwiler, Gayle, Grandison, Goldson, Knight-Percival, Demetriou, Woods, Lawrence, Wesolowski, Collins, Mangan.
