JACK GARRITTY, who moved to Richard Fahey's Musley Bank yard only last month, has already rattled up ten winners from 45 mounts for the Malton trainer.

Little wonder the teenage apprentice says the move is "the best decision I've made in my life." Today, he could well enhance his excellent start for his new boss and perhaps ride another winner to boot, at Carlisle.

The 5lb claimer, a son of former top North Yorkshire jump jockey Russ Garritty, rides nap selection Clouds Rest for Fahey in the Cubby Construction Ltd Nursery Handicap. The diminutive filly has proved a surprise package this season by belying her size and developing into a useful money-spinner.

At Beverley recently, Clouds Rest gained her third win of the campaign and did so with any amount to spare in handicap company. She has a 6lb penalty to carry this afternoon, but she looked as she could comfortably have won at Beverley carrying 6lb more and this looks a good opportunity for her to capitalize.

Garritty, who was previously attached to the Ian Balding stable at Kingsclere, which provided him with such a good grounding, can also win on Corregio for Micky Hammond in the Yesss Electrical Wholesaler Of The Year Handicap.

The four-year-old is not the easiest of horses to win with, but he looked an unlucky loser at Beverley three weeks ago when he was beaten no more than a length and a half into fifth place after meeting trouble in running. He can gain compensation today and provide Garritty, currently on 26 winners for the season, with yet another success.

Rachel Richardson can lift the opening Kingmoor Park Supports Youth Zone Apprentice Handicap on Another Royal, trained by her boss Tim Easterby.

Another Royal has finished second at Newcastle and Beverley on her last two starts and is deserving of a winning turn.

At Hamilton, Malton jockey David Nolan, who is enjoying a good season, can find opportunity knocking on Nakeeta in the Neilsland And Earnock Handicap.

The three-year-old, trained by Iain Jardine, won with Nolan on board at Pontefract two starts ago and was far from disgraced at Chester on her latest outing. She promises to go well, especially as this marginally longer trip should suit her right down to the ground.

Kieren Fallon makes the long journey to Hamilton from his Newmarket base and should be rewarded with a victory in the Always Trying Open Maiden Stakes.

Fallon teams-up with Legal Waves, who, although to break his duck in 11 attempts. has finished second no less than seven times and third on three occasions. Few would begrudge Alan Swinbank's four-year-old a long overdue success. Potent Embrace looks the main danger.

Keith Dalgleish is enjoying another good season and the Lanarkshire trainer has good prospects with Salvatore Fury in the Betfair Scottish Sprint Series Final Handicap.

The gelding, a course-and-distance winner, is a model of consistency. He comes into action after a good third to Inxile at Goodwood in the closing days of August. Phil Makin has the mount.
