York Minster Engineering newcomers Church Fenton White Horse claimed a significant scalp on Wednesday evening with a 3-1 defeat of Dunnington, a win which sees them retain second place in the table.

Dunnington had control of the game for much of the first half but found themselves behind at the break when James Barrett raced clear of their defence to slot home. The tide turned in the second Hal but this time it was Church Fenton who failed to capitalise on their possession, and they looked to have been made to pay when Josh Tattersall's looping header found the net with a minute to go.

Thirty seconds later however, Lenny Mason pounced on a acre kind to restore the White Horse lead and, with Dunnington still in shock, Jonah Beecher was allowed through to hit a third for the hosts in added time.

The battle between last season's other promoted teams went the way of Division One champions Tadcaster Magnets. Daniel Bass (2) and Joseph Smythe did the damage as the hosts defeated Osbsldwick by three goals to nil.

The surprise result of the evening came at York RI, as the home side were routed 5-1 by Poppleton United. Jack Doyle and Joe Dale bagged a brace apiece with Matthew James completing the visitors' haul. Sean Stockdale netted for RI.

A similar score line was enjoyed by Wigginton who ran out 5-1 winners at Harrison's Signs. Matt Tiplady put the away team in front after 27 minutes and then held off several challenges to net his second four minutes later. After the break, Tiplady chipped the ball over the advancing keeper to set himself up for his third before Dan Zambelli added Wiggy's fourth from a narrow angle. Danny Lamb then notched with his first touch of the game before Ben Ballantyne hit a sweet left-footed strike for the hosts' consolation.

Riccall United brought Copmanthorpe's 100% start to an end courtesy of two own goals and a Chris Coxon effort. Terrington Glory and Huntington Rovers played out a goalless draw as both sides rued wasted chances.

A James Robinson double strike and a goal from Robin Jefferson sunk Easingwold, as Dringhouses emerged 3-0 winners.
