DIVISION four central leaders Copmanthorpe earned a 132-run victory over Dringhouses in the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League.

Cop totalled 199-6 thanks to 72 from Andy Northfield, 43 by Darren Hughes and 43 from Chris Groom. John Hughes then took 5-26 to dismiss Dringhouses for 67.

At Civil Service, Cawood only made 62 as H Claxton took 4-12.

Service then moved to a ten-wicket victory with Graham Purdy making 37 not out.

Hovingham kept their promotion drive on track when they defeated Huby by ten wickets, with Richard John hitting 73 not out and Jonathon Huberry 62 not out.

Earlier, Darren Howell had made 77 in Huby’s 156.

Duncombe Park II totalled 172-6 and then bowled New Earswick out for 97. Park’s Nick Allenby made 66 and Jeremy Lascelles 42.

Sheriff Hutton were dismissed for 88 as Osbaldwick’s Ed Baldwin took 3-17 and Pete Machin 3-8.

Andrew Richardson made an unbeaten 46 to take Osbaldwick to a seven-wicket win.

In division four west, Dunnington failed to claim any batting points at Bolton Percy as they were rolled over for 94. Harrison Mussell made 29 as Martin Ferguson took 3-12 and Maaz Ashraf 3-20 for Percy, who won by six wickets.

An unbeaten 50 by Dan Woodhead earned Cawood a draw against leaders Hemingbrough, who fell for 165 in which James Pullein claimed 5-25.

Woodhouse Grange claimed their first win of the season by eight wickets after routing Cop for 84. John Gilbank took 3-3 before Pat Durkin (37no) and Mike Gilbank (29) sealed the win.
