DRAX stepped up their battle against the drop in division three north with a nine-wicket win over fellow strugglers Whitkirk.

Matthew Atkinson grabbed 6-10 and Charlie Adamson 3-11 as Whitkirk fell for only 54.

Sessay dropped to third when they were held to a draw at Huby, who made 150-7 after Sessay had posted 191-3.

Joe Watson made 52 not out and Matthew Wass 47 for Sessay, with Watson following with 3-44.

Huby’s Sean Dixon made 64, Sam Peel 38 and Sam Potrykus an unbeaten 36.

Sheriff Hutton Bridge moved back into second after defeating leaders Easingwold by two wickets.

Ryan Waite hit 63 in Easingwold's 160 all out as Danny Clipston took 5-26.

Bridge opener Harry Sutcliffe made 42 before Mike Smith (26) and Nick Scaling (34) saw them home.

Stillington gained the better of a draw at home to Malton & Old Malton. Wayne Linton hit 69 while Barry Milburn struck 41 and Matt Coulson made 47 not out in a total of 203-7.

Malton replied with 145-9 as Martyn Woodliffe made 51, Alistair Blacklee 29 and Adam Hill 27. Linton took 3-35.

Woodhouse Grange beat York by ten wickets, chasing down a target of 151.

Sam Elliott made 36 for York and Dave Patmore 32 before Ashley Cattle followed his 3-23 with 62 not out and Stuart Craven made an unbeaten 68.

In division three south, Heworth moved into second spot when they beat Civil Service by five wickets at Elm Park Way.

Service posted 169-8 with Graham Sherlock making 38 not out and Layton Hallam 38 as Nadeem Sadiq captured 4-31.

Heworth's Lee Bradshaw made 38 and Harry Moorcroft 28 before an unbeaten 57 by Tom Neal bagged the full 30 points.

New Earswick slipped from second to third when visiting Yapham pouched an advantage draw thanks to Martin Pearson (88no) and S Wainwright (30no).

Andy James then made 37 and Andrew Pepper 46 but they were hanging on for a draw at 144-9 after ALex Natrass claimed 4-44.

Pickering declared on 249-4 against Selby, who were reduced to 144-9 to hold the Pikes to a 27 point draw.

Pickering's Neil Cowton made 83, Shaun Smith 29 and Les Welburn 32 before Charlie Marwood added an undefeated 39.

In Selby’s response, Steve Clark made 39 and Neil Wilson 28 but Tim Whincup almost forced a victory as he took 4-33.

Leaders Rowntrees & Huntington declared but then had to settle for the better of a draw against Stamford Bridge.

Nick Johnson cracked 111 not out and 68 from Jack Hugill helped build a total of 227-2 declared.

Des Healey’s unbeaten 31 salvaged a draw for Bridge.
