MATTHEW FORD conjured the best bowling figures of the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League campaign when he skittled Dringhouses for 21.
The Hovingham bowler claimed 9-10 as Dringhouses were routed in division four central after Hovingham had racked up 214-7.
Alistair Thorpe hit 61 for Hovingham and had good support from Richard Johns, with 35, and John Hubery and George Wainwright, who each made 25.
Sheriff Hutton romped to a ten-wicket win at Cawood after the hosts were all out for 56, with Mick Bradley taking 3-8. John Armitage made 35 not out for the victors.
There was another ten-wicket win at New Earswick, where the hosts were bowled out for just 43 as D Farrow claimed 4-1.
Andrew Richardson hit 66 as Osbaldwick totalled 147 against Duncombe Park, whose Anthony Walker took 4-32 and Will Smith 4-28.
Jeremy Lascelles, with 46, and Nick Allenby, who made 59, then led Park to a four-wicket win.
Copmanthorpe’s Darren Hughes was in fine form as his side thrashed Stillington by 174 runs.
Firstly, he hit 121 in a big total of 268-5 and then claimed 4-6 as Stillington were bowled out for 94.
In division four west, Carlton Towers rattled up 258-3 against Cawood, who responded with 197-8 thanks to James Pullein’s unbeaten 93.
At Drax, Paul Horner hit 70 and Tony Thomson 35 as Rowntrees & Huntington reached 172-9. Drax were then bowled out for only 47 as Phil Walls took 4-10.
At Dunnington, Woodhouse Grange were all out for 54 with D Snowden and Josh Tattersall each taking 4-16. Tattersall then made 22 not out as Dunnington won by six wickets.
