HOME players dominated when the York Union of Golf Clubs Pick Trophy was held at Forest Park GC.
Dave Brandreth used local knowledge to be crowned the overall winner - with 41 points - as members of the Stockton-on-the-Forest-based club filled four of the first seven places.
Brandreth was two points clear of his nearest challengers, Pike Hills member Les Gall and Scarthingwell’s Ian Cockrem. But also flying the flag for Forest was Harry Hoey, David Boyd and Emmett Larkin who all finished tied on 38 points to pick up a prize.
Mark Winterburn, Forest Park professional, said: “Dave has just bought a new set of Callaway clubs and they have transformed his game.
“These results are great for the club and it is was nice to win. When you have got four people in the prizes it is clearly a great day for the club.”
