THE Leckenbys were in command at Helmsley as Duncombe Park defeated promotion-chasing Tadcaster Magnet by five wickets in division two north.
Nadeem Shefta made a season's best 43 not out, but Jonathon Leckenby’s 4-30 limited Magnet to 156-7. After the break, Brian Leckenby made an undefeated 81 to see Park home.
Leaders Osbaldwick had a bit of a struggle before they defeated lowly Pocklington by two wickets.
Alex Downey made 26 for Pocklington but then saw wickets fall as Anthony Butterfield took 3-35.
Neil Readman (68no) and Chris Saltmer (43no) salvaged something for Pock and then Connaire Brattan caused problems with 4-38, only for Osbaldwick to squeeze home thanks to Andy Hall's 33, D Herd's 39 and Matt Hattee's unbeaten 61.
There was no play between Ripon and Sheriff Hutton, while Thirsk's reached 184-9 at home to Dringhouses before rain intervened.
John Cook made 53 for Thirsk and Des Wyrill added 39 as Mick Kenyon claimed 3-28.
Hovingham slipped to 89-5 at home to Woodhouse Grange but were rescued by the rain. Richard Bowling had made 32.
Clifton Alliance eased their division two south relegation worries with a six-wicket win at Welton & Brough.
Welton were all out for 125 as Dominic Snook claimed 5-13 and H Bradley 3-31. The latter then followed with 28 before Aly Wray’s unbeaten 34 clinched the win.
Driffield had the better of a draw at second-placed Acomb, whose 176-7 was short of Driffield’s 204-7.
Jamie Foster hit 78 for Driffield and Andrew Chapman made 36. Acomb's J Fletcher made 44, Scott Nicholls 52 and Alex Topham 36 as John Woolley captured 5-41.
Patrington reached 208-9 before declaring against Londesborough Park, whose Greg Drewery had 3-43 and James Hanley 3-24.
Drewery then followed with 26 to give support to 75 by Tim Nettleton but Park were only able to reach 189-6 in a drawn game.
Hornsea defeated leaders Beverley Town by six wickets after chasing a target of 200.
Paul Best fronted Beverley’s innings with 69 as Doug Griebenhouw took 6-56.
Carlton Towers defeated Thorp Arch by 57 runs. Jonathon Dilks' 67 and Rich Holah's 82 not out saw Towers to 231-8 and the Arch were dismissed for 174.
