WOODHOUSE Grange booked their sixth trip to Lord's for the final of the Davidstow National Village Cup as York bowed out of the Royal London ECB National Club Championship.

Sutton-on-Derwent-based Grange will face Great & Little Tew at headquarters on Sunday, September 7, looking to lift the trophy for a third time.

Grange racked up a huge 289-9 from their 40 overs and then restricted hosts Milford Hall to 163 in a 126-run win in yesterday's semi-finals.

Great & Little Tew bowled out Dinton for 120 and then cruised to a nine-wicket win.

York, meanwhile, bowed out of the National Club Championship at the quarter-final stage, losing by seven wickets at Chorley yesterday.

The Clifton Parkers, who lifted the trophy in 2012, were dismissed for 107 after winning the toss and batting, with Simon Lambert making a lone stand for 48.

Chorley wrapped victory at 109-3 after 27 overs at Windsor Park, with Mohammed Jamal hitting an unbeaten 34.

Meanwhile, York slipped 11 points behind leaders Yorkshire Academy in the Solly Sports Yorkshire ECB County Premier League on Saturday.

Reigning champions York were without a game, allowing the Tykes youngsters to extend their advantage with a six-point win over Appleby Frodingham.

Sheriff Hutton Bridge bowler Eddie Barnes took 2-22 off 13 overs in his second Academy outing as Frodingham were restricted to 164-6.

The Academy then cruised to a seven-wicket win inside 26 overs.
