YORK City Baths Club star James Wilby eased into the semi-finals of the 100 metres breaststroke at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old Strensall swimmer, who was sixth in the final of the 200 metres last night, was third in heat four this morning, clocking one minute 1.40 seconds to qualify for tonight's semi-finals.
That was enough to put him ranked seventh heading into the semis, which will take place at about 8pm. The final is scheduled for 8.50pm tomorrow.
Wilby is also due to compete in the 50m breaststroke heats on Sunday morning.
