TRISTAN ROBBINS won the National Junior Road Race Cycling Championships at the Ryedale Grand Prix weekend.
Robbins sprinted clear of rivals Nathan Draper and Tom Bayliss to win in wet conditions on a circuit around the Ampleforth area on Saturday.
The Ryedale Grand Prix men’s crown went to Richard Handley, of Warrington, yesterday. He finished seven seconds clear of Mike Cuming, with Russ Downing third.
The 93-mile race is part of the British Cycling Elite Road Series.
The women’s Ryedale Grand Prix and Road Series winner was Nicola Juniper, with the Junior Championship going to Beth Hayward.
