MIAMI CAROUSEL, who routed his rivals at Pontefract last week in the hands of apprentice Joe Doyle, can produce an encore in the opening race at Catterick this afternoon.

The two-year-old, who had shown ability in three outings in maiden company, finishing in the frame each time, opened his winning account in his first handicap in decisive style.

It is no surprise that Norton rainer John Quinn wants to get him out again before he is reassessed and a 6lb penalty in the Download The Racing UK IPad App Nursery Handicap hardly looks enough to prevent him from completing a quick-fire double. Doyle again takes the mount.

Innocently may be able to defy top weight in the ABF The Soldier's Charity Handicap.

The sprinter, trained by David O'Meara at Nawton, has been lightly raced this season and will be having only his third start. A creditable fourth at Ripon to Adam's Ale, beaten only two lengths, on his re-appearance, Innocently has since been beaten little more than a length into third place at Windsor. He is fancied to make it third-time-lucky under Danny Tudhope.

The Racing UK Available Anywhere Now Handicap will not take a great deal of winning and Chivers is selected to come out on top under Tony Hamilton, pictured, who was in the saddle when the gelding won at Beverley two starts ago.

Tim Easterby's charge has since finished fifth at Doncaster in a hotter race and only gave best inside the final furlong. He should run well.

Avon Breeze may not have the best of draws in the catterickbridge.co.uk Handicap over six furlongs, but Richard Whitaker's sprinter should not be dismissed lightly.

The five-year-old has run some solid races in defeat this summer and is overdue a winning turn. She is drawn in stall seven in the nine-runner field, which is not ideal, but is not insurmountable. Amy Ryan has the task of having her in front when it matters.

The Betfair Novice Flat Amateur Riders' Handicap looks a good opportunity for Rocky Two to resume winning ways.

Phil Kirby's gelding won at Musselburgh three starts ago and has run creditably in both his outings since, most recently when beaten less than a length into second by Eilean Mor back at Musselburgh. The four-year-old should be hard to beat in the hands of the accomplished Philip Denis.

At Sandown's evening meeting, the featured Ryman The Stationer Handicap is the target for North Yorkshire raider Ishikawa, trained at Middleham by Karl Burke.

The six-year-old has been running well this summer and has won two of his last four starts, at Ascot and here at Sandown. His latest effort, when unplaced after weakening late on, on this course was not quite so inspired, but it is interesting that Burke has sent him south once more and the hint should be taken.

Sir Michael Stoute has a couple of potential winners at the Esher track in Adore and Rapid Advance, both mounts of Ryan Moore.

Adore was somewhat disappointing when a beaten favourite at Beverley last time, but she had previously looked to have a bright future when winning at Leicester. She deserves another chance to fulfil her Leicester promise in the Berrylands Handicap.

Rapid Advance, who runs in the Granby Handicap, is only racing off a 2lb higher mark than when winning by a neck at Goodwood last month. He has only raced four times in his life and is open to plenty of further improvement. Top weight may not be a barrier to him completing a double.
