SHERIFF Hutton Bridge II had a big victory at Huby in division three north.

Huby failed to take a single point after being dismissed for just 93. Tom Piercy made more than half of the total with 47 but Alex Ibbotson dominated with 5-23.

The second-placed side were taken to a ten-wicket win as Josh Cockrill hit 46 not out and Steve Crowder made an unbeaten 36.

Promotion-chasing York IV had almost as easy a win at Whitkirk, where their nine-wicket triumph left the lowly hosts without a point.

York’s Basa had 5-14 as Whitkirk were felled for just 60, then Kev Mendham hit 43 not out in a comfortable win.

Sessay batted first at Easingwold and totalled 198, with Matt Wass making 41 and Tom Sowerby 37 as Andy Metcalfe took 3-48 and Tom Langstaff 4-22.

The Easingwold duo then turned to batting, with Langstaff making 57 and Metcalfe 46. George Elliott chipped in with 57 as Easingwold moved to a six-wicket win.

At Londesborough Park, home batsman Ben Shingles made 44 but John Milburn took 4-24 for Stillington as Park were pegged to 126-7. Stillington then moved to a comfortable seven-wicket win as Tim Jarvis made 41 not out and Shaun Speck 43.

Woodhouse Grange veteran Stuart Craven rolled back the years to hit 126 in a total of 240-4 against table footers Drax. Ashley Cattle provided 54 as Matt Atkinson took 3-62.

Craven’s innings was bettered by Drax’s Luke Edwards, who made 132 not out in his side’s 219-8.
