AFTER crashing through the ten million euros barrier, York's Simon Dyson has achieved another uplifting milestone.
His top five finish in the BMW International Open in Germany enabled him to improve his world ranking by no fewer than 24 places.
Dyson is now ranked at 127th - his best this year - reflecting an improvement over the past six weeks that also yielded a tie for third in the BMW PGA event at Wentworth and 21st position in the Nordea Masters in Sweden.
That ascent in the global ratings will have pleased the 36-year-old Dyson even more than the cheque for just short of 72,000 euros for his superb 18-under finish in Cologne, where he just missed a place in a play-off by a single shot.
Dyson's Cologne cracker also nudged him into 29th place in the Race To Dubai conclusion to the European Tour, which features the leading 60 players in just over five months.
