FORMER Harlequins forward Mick Watson has returned to Pocklington RUFC.

The ex-head coach at Percy Road has rejoined the North One East outfit after a year out to link up with director of rugby Mat Webber and coaches Richard Wilson and Pat Holbrough.

Former half-back Chris Hill, who played in the Premiership with Leeds Tykes, has taken up his first coaching role, while Ed Townend has signed up to work with the second team.

Webber said: “It is with great pleasure that I’m able to announce the strongest coaching team seen to date at Percy Road. We are really pleased to welcome Mick Watson back following a sabbatical season. To have someone of Mick’s quality and experience in this role is priceless for us. It’s also great to welcome Chris Hill back to the club as backs coach.”

Pre-season training gets under way on July 1.
