York cricket veterans contest
YORK Vale Cricket League Veterans are just one game away from an appearance at Headingley.
Group stage opponents Norton Ancients have conceded Sunday’s Grey Fox Trophy game with the Vale over-50s at Pocklington.
It means that if the Vale Vets win at Fishlake, near Doncaster, on July 27 they will go through to the semi-finals at the famous Test ground in Leeds on August 17.
The final is scheduled for Scarborough’s North Marine Road on September 7.
