TONY COYLE, who sent out the Choe Fairley-ridden Checkpoint to win the Macmillan Charity Race at York's bumper Macmillan Charity Day meeting on Saturday, switches his attentions to Carlisle today in the hope of securing another success from the enigmatic Thatcherite in the Molson Coors Handicap.

The mount of Stephen Craine, who knows him like the back of his own hand, Thatcherite is a hard horse to win with and has yet to get his head in front this season. But the six-year-old did fail by only a nose on this course three weeks ago when pipped by M J Woodward.

Winner of his final two starts last season, Thatcherite is fancied to resume winning ways on behalf of Norton trainer Coyle, who admits he got a massive kick from seeing Checkpoint prevail on Saturday, even if there was no prize money at stake.

Richard Fahey, heading to Royal Ascot this week with a team that includes Parbold, Sandiva, Clouds Rest, Dutch Courage and Baccarat, has good prospects of lifting the Download The Free App @bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

The mount of Samantha Bell, the Malton three-year-old won at Beverley on her penultimate start and ran a fine race in defeat when upped in trip at Haydock at the end of last month. She should run a big race.

Mercers Row was a winner at this course three weeks ago and Karen Tutty's sprinter can follow up in the World Cup Live Updates @bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

Trainer's daughter Gemma Tutty again takes the mount on Mercers Row who is fancied to defy his revised rating on a course which suits him.

Election Night may prove the answer to the featured EBF Stallions World Cup Free Bets Fillies' Handicap.

The three-year-old has run two decent races since opening her account at Redcar last month. There may be more to come from her on behalf of Tim Easterby, who did this column a mighty turn when sending out 20-1 shot See The Sun to win the showpiece handicap at York on Saturday.

At Nottingham's evening meeting - a fixture transferred from Warwick which is under repair - the feature race is the Voute Sales Warwickshire Oaks, a Listed race which boasts £40,000 in prize money.

The clear pick on form is Secret Gesture, trained by Ralph Beckett, who finished second in last year's Epsom Oaks and third in the Yorkshire Oaks on Knavesmire. She returned to York for her seasonal debut last month and ran an excellent race to finish second to Ambivalent in the Middleton Stakes.

This contest represents a drop in class for Secret Gesture, who is fancied to utilise the opportunity, probably at the main expense of Moment In Time, who is expected to step up considerably on her Haydock comeback a couple of weeks ago.

Kevin Ryan's Dominic Cork has shown enough in his two outings this season to suggest he can clinch the Racing UK Anywhere Available Now Maiden Stakes.

Jamie Spencer's juvenile is napped to prevail for Ryan, whose Royal Ascot squad is launched by sprinters Hot Streak, Astaire and York Glory.

David O'Meara has his horses in excellent form and the prolific North Yorkshire trainer can complete a Nottingham double with handicappers Monakova (6.50) and Balducci (7.20). Both horses will be partnered by Danny Tudhope.
