SECOND-PLACED York Lokomotive face their biggest test of the Yorkshire Men's League group two campaign at unbeaten leaders Shaw Cross Sharks 'A' on Saturday - but boss Simon Moat is confident they can upset the apple cart.

Lokos their first three league games before crashing 42-16 at Bradford Dudley Hill last time out.

Moat said: "It's a really big game for our boys. Shaw Cross are averaging nearly 40 points per game, but we will be going with confidence.

"Since our aberration against Dudley Hill the effort in training has been fantastic, and hopefully the boys will put on a good performance and get a positive result."

Lokes will be without Luke Watling, who has returned to London, and Jonny Cambridge, who is unavailable this week, but Nigerian utility player Fats Oketete and new half-back Ben Thompson, a recent recruit from the York St John Tigers student side, are pushing for places.

NOMINATIONS are now required for the York & District ARL end-of-season 2013/14 awards, the Eurig Thomas Trophy for The Unsung Hero and The Colin Nolan Memorial Trophy for the Open Age player of the season.

The Youth Player of the Year and the Lady Player of the Year have been decided from nominations received.
