YORK City have signed 6ft 9in keeper Jason Mooney.

The Northern Irish shot-stopper has spent the last two seasons with Tranmere, where he made four senior appearances.

Mooney, 25, joined Wycombe Wanderers in 2011 but left the Buckinghamshire club after a season having failed to break into the first team.

He previously played in his home country for Ards, Bangor, Ards Rangers and Comber Recreation.
