SHERIFF OF NAWTON can rule the roost once again at Redcar this afternoon as he aims to complete a rapid hat-trick of wins.

The David O'Meara-trained gelding broke his maiden in comfortable style at Catterick last month before following-up in equally good fashion on this course just over a fortnight ago.

The handicapper has responded by raising Sheriff Of Nawton 10lb for that successs, but there promises to be much more to come from this lightly-raced three-year-old. He should be hard to beat in the latest qualifying round of the Redcar Straight-Mile Championship Handicap and carries the nap vote.

The Happy 10th Birthday Racing UK Handicap over five furlongs is a tightly-knit affair, but Singeur ought to go well in the hands of Neil Farley.

Trained by Robin Bastiman, the seven-year-old should now be approaching his peak after three outings this season, A respectable fourth at Beverley two outings ago, he again shaped well at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago when a close-up fourth to Right Touch in a competitive handicap, He should go well in a race which features last year's winner Jack Luey.

Discreetly will not be short of supporters in the Ladies' Day On Saturday 21st June Maiden Stakes.

Hughie Morrison's three-year-old showed definite signs of ability on her debut at Nottingham when finishing fourth. She should have learned plenty from that experience and may be able to step up to the number one slot this time.

Moonvoy looks the answer to the Voltigeur Restaurant Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Trained at Newmarket by Jeremy Noseda, the three-year-old finished third at Newmarket on her debut last month. This looks a good opportunity for her to break her maiden at her second attempt. Seb Sanders has been booked for the mount.

North Yorkshire trainer Michael Dods can book-end the card with Pomme de Terre (2.20) and Trinity Star (5.50), both mounts of Paul Mulrennan.

Pomme de Terre ran well at Beverley first time out, finishing fourth and staying on well in the closing stages over five furlongs. This step up to six furlongs looks ideal for the youngster, who will be sharper for her previous experience.

Trinity Star can not be backed with confidence in the closing handicap, but he has a leading chance on his best form.

A beaten favourite at Catterick on his reappearance, he finished second to Sheriff Of Nawton here last time. A win from Sheriff Of Nawton earlier in the card would obviously strengthen the claims of Trinity Star going one better this time.

At Southwell, Mecca's Mirage can supply Dods with another winner in the Quicksilverslots Maiden Auction Stakes.

Connor Beasley's mount finished second to Bond's Girl on her debut at Beverley three weeks ago. She may not have to improve much to step up to the main position here, provided she handles this switch to an artificial surface.

Kristin Stubbs can lift the Quicksilverslsots Fun On The High Street Handicap with Repetition.

The mount of Dale Swift, the Norton gelding is already a course winner here and he has since scored at Doncaster. A fair fourth at Thirsk last time out, he will not be inconvenienced by this return to a Fibresand circuit.

Kevin Ryan's Injaz (4.00) and Guishan (4.30), a previous course winner, trained by Mick Appleby, are two others to note.
