ACOMB openers Andy Tute and Mark Askham put on 200 for the first wicket in a draw at home to Goole Town in division one of the Hunters York & District Senior League.

Tute hit 105 and Askham made 107, while Joe Dale, back from an Australian trip, added 26 as Acomb totalled 268-6. Goole wicketkeeper Ben Earl handed over the gloves and took 3-48.

Earl then hit 31 but Dave Sykes (3-49) and Mark Bell (3-43) seemed to be bowling their side to victory before a 57-run partnership for the ninth wicket enabled Goole to draw at 206-9, with Mark Spetch making 53 not out.

A century first-wicket stand between Simon Leeson (62no) and Casey Rudd (51) set Bridlington up for an eight-wicket victory over Driffield.

Heworth emerged as one-wicket winners over visitors Pickering in a thrilling game.

The Pikes batted first and made 152, with Dave Greenlay hitting 71 as Dan Walton took 4-17.

Heworth's Neil Johnson made 35 and Ian Lynch 28 to combat Mike Brown (3-25) and Isaac Christopher (3-25). The hosts collapsed from 95-2 to 120-8 before scraping home.

Whitkirk’s Richard Simpson struck 121 in his side's 258-8 at Bolton Percy, for whom Adam Brewster took 3-48 and Peter Houseman 3-46. Bolton batted out for a draw at 152-9.

Selby lost by three wickets at Folkton & Flixton. Selby's total of 197included 44 from Josh Cruise, who then took 4-51 as Rich Malthouse (54) and Scott Cooper (62) helped Flixton home.

Sessay’s Nick Thorne was dismissed for 99 against Malton & Old Malton. With Tom Hall making 59, Sessay totalled 258-7 as Chris Hudson claimed 3-42.

Hudson then hit 63 not out as he and Martyn Woodliffe (25no) gained a draw at 176-7. Steve Linsley made 32, while Steve Langstaff took 3-50 for the hosts.
