MATTHEW FITZPATRICK, the world’s number one ranked amateur golfer, is in Yorkshire’s team to play Durham in an inter-county match at Fulford Golf Club on Saturday.
Fitzpatrick, who is in England’s elite squad, is the current United States amateur champion and recently played in the Masters at Augusta.
Yorkshire’s ranks also include two Pike Hills GC members, Martin Brown and Craig Smith.
The team is Jamie Bower (Meltham), Ben Bewster (Bawtry), Daniel Brown (Bedale), Martin Brown (Pike Hills), Joe Dean (Lindrick), Matthew Fitzpatrick (Hallamshire), Jamie Harrison (Rotherham), Jack Lampkin (Ilkley), Nick Marsh (Huddersfield), Craig Smith (Pike Hills), Jonathan Thomson (Lindrick), William Whiteoak (Shipley).
Foursomes matches will start at 9.30am, while the singles ties are to start at 1.30pm.
