ASH HAYNES is poised to return to York City Knights - with designs on regular first-team action.
Haynes, who came through the Knights under-18s and U20s, signed for Gloucestershire All Golds when moving to study at university there.
The back-rower temporarily re-signed for the Knights when back in Yorkshire last summer and, in addition to playing for the U20s reserves, made one first-grade appearance in the Challenge Cup tie at Catalan Dragons.
He played against York on the opening day of this season but The Press understands he is now awaiting a release in order to get back in the Huntington Stadium fold.
All Golds, meanwhile, have parted company with head coach Brad Hepi.
