TICKETS for snooker's UK Championship in York are now on sale.
The sport's second biggest ranking event returns to the Barbican between November 25 and December 7 and, for a limited time, some tickets for sessions from Monday, December 1 to December 5 are half price.
For the first time last year, a new format saw all 128 players start in the same round at the Fishergate venue with the likes of Mitchell Travis and John Astley causing major first round shocks.
Australia's Neil Robertson captured the trophy with a 10-7 victory in the final over Mark Selby.
World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn said: “The new format was a success last year and it’s fantastic news for the people of York that we have found a way to keep the tournament at the Barbican, which is such a tremendous venue for snooker.
“The players love coming to York and we have always received exceptional support from the local fans. Snooker is buzzing at the moment with every tournament producing exciting stories. Anyone who wants to see it live must get their tickets booked immediately then they can look forward to seeing the best in the world in action.”
