SHARON Neads closed the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League campaign with a bang as Burnholme edged past Slipper.

Neads fired a 119 checkout for a 21-dart game, which also included two ton scores.

Sarah Barker, who checked bull, Marj Pearson and Lynne Wilstrop also won as Burnholme entered the pairs with a 4-2 advantage.

In the pairs, Neads partnered Carole Salkeld to secure victory.

Jane Barnes had a 23-dart game but finished on the losing side as Bootham Cons Club went down 6-3 at Magnet.

Wendy Shortle, Maggie Tottie Flossy Crampton, Sue Tate starred for the home side.

Rose Gray gamed in 24 darts with scores of 134 and 100 and Hayley Benton also won to give Acomb a fine start against visitors Marcia ‘A’, who had captain Di Moreland, Carol Perrett, Clair Cooper replying.

Sammy Endersby levelled the match before Cooper and Harrison then Perrett and Pat Cairns snatch match points.

Five Lions sealed second spot with a 6-3 win over close rivals Tramways. Michelle Britton had a 25-darter and there were two tons apiece for Anne Bass and Muriel Britton.

Sue Smith, Faye Hawksby, with a 26-dart leg, Linda Welch and Sharon Rishworth sealed victory for Marcia ‘A’ before Edinburgh’s Claire Jamieson troubled the scorers.

Anthea Jamieson and Chris Lamb doubled Edinburgh’s tally before the home team ran out 7- 2 victors with some top scoring from Hawksby and Chris Hayward.

Champions City Supporters proved too strong for visitors Severus ‘A’ as Lynne Clapham and Tina Platt hit the high scores.

Severus ‘B’ are division are champions after being gifted match points by Turpin.
