Seven surge thwarts Mike

THE Gordon Little Trophy - played on a “round robin” basis - saw Mike Snowden’s team going into his last game knowing they only needed to avoid a three-shot defeat to win.

With three ends to play, they led by four shots and looked on course only to be outdone by Allan May’s team, who scored seven unanswered shots to take the game.

That handed the title to Ron Munro’s side, who had completed their matches two days before after beating Pat Bracken’s team 23-6.
