A GROUP of five Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers members tackled the tough Guisborough Moors Fell Race.
The event, race 14 in the winter series, included some testing climbs and David Read was the first Harriers finisher.
He came home 70th in a field of 126 in 121 minutes 17 seconds.
Lorraine Hiles was 78th, and first in the F45 category, in 123-50, Hywel Smith was 108th in 139-12, Fran Jeffery came 115th in 148-09 and Alan Wikeley was 120th in 156-57.
On a flatter course at South Shields, Ian and Marian Codling took part in the Sand Dancer 10k, which meanders along tracks beside the grass near the finish of the Great North Run. Ian was 275th in 68-08 and Marian 283rd in 75-32.
Two Harriers took part in the London Marathon, with debutant David Fabrega clocking a good time of three hours 39-49. London Marathon regular Alan Harman clocked 4:16-42.
