CLIFFE crackshot Andy Jackson proved the scourge over Cawood in a York Minster Engineering League Junior Cup ten goal-thriller.

Jackson struck a first-half hat-trick to enable Cliuffe to prevail 6-4 and tee up[ an away duel at Fulford United in the next round.

The other Cliffe marksmen were Jack Healy, Andy Kirkham and Andy Addison.

Riccall United provided the shock of the day after knocking out Dunnington 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the Reserve Cup.

Dringhouses defeated Church Fenton White Horse on penalties, repeating the feat of last season’s final, also following a 2-2 stalemate after 90 minutes. Carl Welch and Dan Kiernan got the Dringhouses goals.

Wigginton and Poppleton went an hour without scoring before Wigginton's late surge yielded a 5-0 win with goals from substitute Dan Welborn (3), Josh Hutchinson.

Wigginton will next play Riccall, while Thorpe United’s 3-0 win at Bishopthorpe earned a semi-final place at home to Dringhouses.

In the Supplementary Cup, Hemingbrough battered hosts Bishopthorpe 7-0 with Tom Collins (2), Jonny Wileman (2), Liam Gautrey, Luke Zacharenko and an own goal completing the rout.

South Milford defeated Rufforth 3-2, with Graham Wray and Tom Bays scoring for visiting Rufforth.
