SEVERE back spasms quickly forced York’s Simon Dyson out of his return to the European Tour.
The York-born golfer suffered trouble with his tee shot on the opening hole in the inaugural NH Collection Open in wind-lashed Cadiz in Spain.
He triple-bogeyed the par-four opener and, clearly in discomfort, double-bogeyed the second to be a dismal five-over par.
It was then that the world number 176 decided to call it a day and withdraw from the event and seek immediate treatment with the European Tour’s tournament physiotherapist.
