YORK City boss Nigel Worthington and striker Michael Coulson have been nominated for Sky Bet League Two awards for March.

Worthington has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Month prize having seen his side win six and draw one of their seven fixtures, including a run of six successive clean sheets since opening March with a 2-1 triumph over Exeter.

A tally of 19 points is two more than any other side managed in League Two during the month with leaders Rochdale boasting the next-best haul having also played a game more than the Minstermen.

Coulson, meanwhile, scored decisive goals in three City victories last March, claiming the second goal against Exeter before also netting in 1-0 away wins over AFC Wimbledon and Portsmouth.

The former Barnsley and Scarborough attacker's goals have come after he moved inside from the flanks to play as an orthodox centre forward and represent a tremendous reversal in fortunes for a player who was completely overlooked for first-team selection over 14 consecutive games earlier in the campaign.
