JIMMY REID has targeted "four or five players" that he hopes to bring to Selby Town immediately following the end of the season.

The Robins' boss, whose side were crushed 6-2 at Dronfield Town on Wednesday night, is waiting to dip into the market as soon as the curtain comes down on the NCEL division one campaign.

Reid, who also plans to blood some of the club's under-19s in the next few weeks to see how they fare, says he is already well into planning how to revive the fortunes of the Flaxley Road outfit.

"You have to make things happen," he said. "There are a lot of people tied up at clubs at the moment but I am now talking to players for next year and I have four or five to come straight away.

"Our remit now is to get through the final few games, get as many points as possible, and get a basis. We've got some nice players in the under-19s and we will see what they are like."

Bottesford Town visit Selby tomorrow while, elsewhere in division one, Knaresborough Town go to Appleby Frodingham.

Harrogate Town, who have drawn their last two games as they try to keep hold of their place in the Conference North play-off positions, host Gainsborough Trinity.

Neighbours Harrogate Railway are at Prescot Cables in Evo-Stik League first division north and, in the south, Scarborough Athletic travel to Halesowen Town.
