NEW Earswick & District IBC celebrated their 20th anniversary with a match against the English Indoor Bowls Association President’s team.
A home team representing New Earswick president Gordon Fratson were beaten 138-92 by the touring team.
A New Earswick spokesman said: “The visitors proved too strong for the hosts, but the day was about celebrating New Earswick’s anniversary and the completion of the first phase of their improvement plans which has seen a new lighting system and air conditioning being installed, funded partly through Sport England Inspired Facilities and City of York Council grants.”
