YELLOW was far from mellow for York IBC ‘B’ in the Yorkshire Over-55s League second division.
York lost to second placed North Cave Yellow with only one winning rink.
The away leg saw defeats for Mike Snowden’s team (29-13) and Ken Robinson’s (19-6).
At home the teams reduced the aggregate deficit to eight shots after ten ends but their opponents proved too strong to prevail 100-60.
Alan Clapham’s team saw a good 14-1 start fade before hanging on for a 21-19 win, while Ron Munro’s team lost 33-10.
