No Planning, who gained a runaway win at Wetherby on his latest start, bids to follow up at Warwick today for Bingley trainer Sue Smith, who yesterday at Sedgefield reached 50 winners for the season.

The Yorkshire gelding goes for the featured £30,000 Star Sports Budbrooke Chase over two and a half miles and promises to go well having been raised only 8lb for his most recent victory which was gained by a decisive 15 lengths.

Nothing if not consistent, No Planning rarely runs a bad race. Hopefully for Smith, that will continue to be the case this afternoon as he aims for a big prize.

Joanna Mason makes the journey from North Yorkshire to team up with Walter De Le Mare in the Warwick ‘Hands And Heels’ Handicap Hurdle, confined to conditional jockeys and amateur riders.

Trained by Annabel King, Walter De La Mare has run two respectable races since winning at Market Rasen on Boxing Day. He should go well.

Philip Hobbs will be disappointed if he doesn’t bag a winner at Warwick. The Minehead trainer has several winning chances throughout the card and is fancied to hit the target with Mighty Mobb and Meetmeatthemoon.

The latter runs in the EBF Stallions Mares’ National Hunt Flat Race and is entitled to plenty of respect after failing by only a head here on her debut six weeks ago.

Mighty Mobb, who finished second at Taunton on his seasonal reappearance, was made favourite to go one better at Wetherby last month, but he failed to live up to his earlier promise and had to settle for fourth place. He should not be given up on yet and is awarded the nap vote.

Union Jack D’Ycy has a score to settle in the Irish Raceday Here On 9th March Handicap Chase.

Sent off the 7-4 favourite, he unseated his rider at Catterick 11 days ago.

He had previously won on this course and is fancied to get his career back on track. At Wolverhampton, Pinotage has useful claims on behalf of Ryedale trainer Peter Niven in the 32Red Free £10 Bonus Handicap.

The six-year-old ran only once on the Flat last year, but, after a couple of hurdle runs, he returned with an encouraging effort on the level on this course a fortnight ago when finishing a one length second to Singzak. He may not need to improve much on that performance to go one better this time under James Sullivan.

Dansili Dutch turns out again on the course in the 32Red.com Free £10 Bonus Fillies’ Handicap over an extended mile.

David O’Meara’s charge was a winner over this distance two outings before getting beaten when stepped up to a mile and a half last week. This return to the shorter trip should suit her.

Daryl Byrne, who spent last season with Tim Easterby, has since moved to Ron Harris in Chepstow.

Byrne won on Hill Fort at Lingfield three weeks ago and it would be no surprise to see the gelding follow up in the Coral App Download From The App Store Handicap.

Also worth noting are the hat-trick seeking Louis Vee (6.00) and Master Of Disguise (6.30), who is overdue a winning turn.
