Leeman United continue to head division two in the Ian’s Cars of Barlby York Sunday Morning Football League after beating basement side York Medics 5-2.

Stewart Brown gave the students an early lead but Jamie Moore equalised from 25 yards before half-time.

Medics again regained the lead through Luke Thornton but once United levelled for the second time with a James Barrett goal, the table-toppers took control.

A Liam Stilgoe penalty was followed by a brace of goals by Ollie Newby.

Si Houlder hit a hat-trick in second-placed Bubwith White Swan’s 3-1 win over Hambleton, for whom Kane Snelson had initially erased Houlder’s opener.

But Houlder bagged two goals after the half-time interval to seal his triple slam and the Bubwith victory.

Snaith need only four more points to claim the division four title after beating hosts Drax 4-3.

In a rollercoaster clash, Snaith led 1-0 and 2-1 only to trail 3-2 before Matt Whitaker completed his hat-trick, supplemented by a Bradley Thompson strike.

The Drax marksmen were Neil Harrison, Ian Blydon and James Barrett.
