POCKLINGTON Cricket Club will host a question and answer session with Yorkshire chairman Mark Arthur on Wednesday, February 19.
Arthur will be accompanied by Ian Dews, the county’s director of coaching, and first-team players Adam Lyth and Andrew Hodd.
Pocklington chairman Andy Inns is hoping the players will carry out a coaching masterclass with members of the junior section before taking part in a question and answer session in the Burnby Lane clubhouse at 7.30pm.
Inns said: “Yorkshire cricket seems to be flourishing at the moment, but the recent failure of the England national team has left a dark cloud over English cricket. “Why not come along and fire some questions at the professionals. Whether your questions are about local league cricket, Yorkshire CCC or the national side – come and hear the views of the men in charge.”
Entry is free but, for a small fee, there will be a pie and peas supper and drinks. To give the club an idea on numbers for catering, anyone interested in attending is asked to phone Inns on 07790 243703.
