Thirsk and Sowerby Harrier Nicola Booth did well to come 33rd, after a long lay-off, clocking 27 minutes and ten seconds in the ladies’ race of the latest North Yorkshire/South Durham cross-country meeting at Richmond.
Club-mates included Faith Coy, who finished 56th in 31.11, Claire Gillan 58th in 31.26, Marian Codling 71st in 40.45 and Pam Sherlock 72nd in 41.32.
Cameron Choules was first Harrier home in the men’s race over twice the distance, finishing 27th in 42.34, followed by Walter Busuttil, 32nd in 43.26, Julian Norton 39th in 44.15, Stephan Tomaszewski 40th in 44.29, Rob Burn 44th in 45.25, Marc Davies 76th in 50.53, Martyn Coy 78th in 51.08 and Hywel Smith 87th in 55.09.
Earlier, Norton finished 158th out of more than 1,000 runners in a fine time of 39 minutes and eight seconds in the Dewsbury 10k race.
