LEADERS Marcia Bishopthorpe beat Golden Slipper and title rivals Tramways ‘B’ to strengthen their grip on the York Black Sheep Mixed Darts League.
Slipper’s Doreen Johnstone shot out on 100 after firing a 133 score, but Marcia’s Michelle Britton gamed in 20 darts, while Dean Platt and Pete Leake backed her up with a 23-dart leg apiece.
Marcia then went on to beat Tramways ‘B’ 5-2, with maximums from Leake and Britton included 180, while Leake had legs of 19 and 22 darts.
Chris Matthews replied for Tramways with a 20-dart leg.
Railway Institute beat Tramways ‘A’ 5-2 thanks to three 100s from Roy Cockerill and scores of 137, 140 and 100 by Chris Bullen. Sandra Bruce added to a good win from Dan Watkinson and Kate Ford.
The Tramways derby was won by the ‘B’ team 4-3.
Golden Slipper beat Corner Pin 5-2 after excellent games from Phil Smith (121, 100) and Johnstone, added to Paul Partridge’s win.
Bottom side Corner Pin have now withdrawn from the league.
