RECORD signing Jamille Matt will continue to be sidelined as Fleetwood Town prepare to play host to York City tomorrow.

The former Kidderminster striker has been ruled out with an ankle injury for three months and his last appearance came in the Cod Army’s 2-0 victory at Bootham Crescent in October when he was on the visitors’ scoresheet.

Midfielder Jeff Hughes is also missing with the broken leg he suffered against Hartlepool this month and ex-Manchester City defender Stephen Jordan has been sidelined since August.

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander will, otherwise, have a full squad to choose from although out-of-favour quartet Shaun Beeley, Ryan Crowther, Steven Gillespie and Alex Titchiner have all been released ahead of the game.

Despite his side being unbeaten in 2014 and taking 13 points from a possible 15 following Monday night’s 0-0 draw at fellow high-fliers Scunthorpe, Alexander will not shy away from making changes.

The ex-Scotland international regularly rotates his squad and that could mean a recall to the first XI for one-time Minsterman Jon Parkin, who has netted seven times this term despite starting just seven games.

That tally has taken Parkin’s career total for Town to 19 with only 23 starts to his name. Former Peterborough forward David Ball is Fleetwood’s leading marksman this season with ten goals but he has only netted twice in 11 League games at Highbury.

Former City favourite Matty Blair is still on loan at Northampton so will play no part in tomorrow’s match but Charlie Taylor, who was briefly at Bootham Crescent last season, will line up at left-back.

Fleetwood (probable): Davies, McLaughlin, Roberts, Pond, Taylor, Murdoch, Schumacher, Marrow, Goodall, Mandron, Ball.
