GOALS flowed for division three leaders Sporting Knavesmire as they turned in a fantastic performance to defeat Huby United 9-0.

Andy Simpson, Tom Wilson and Mike Eddom all hit doubles with Luke Hutchinson, Tom Williams and George Wilson completing the whitewash.

Ouseburn United lost ground on their rivals in a 5-5 draw at home to Rufforth.

The home side’s tally came from a Chris Simpson hat-trick along with single strikes from Ben Jones and Russ Robshaw.

On target for Rufforth were Steve Gagen (2), Lee Bartlett, Graham Wray and Joe Bootland.

Third-placed Selby Olympia went 1-0 up after five minutes against Tadcaster Town thanks to a well-taken lob from Ryan Taylor.

George Wojcik then hit two further goals to extend the advantage before Pavel Jankowski and Luke Pierse netted to seal a convincing 5-0 win.

York Acorn ran out 6-3 winners over Bishop Wilton.

Lee Jacob hit a hat-trick to take his season’s league tally to 15, while Sam Lingard, Leigh Dutton and Ken Shepherd also got onto the scoresheet. Jason Nattrass bagged a hat-trick for Bishop Wilton.

Crayke went down 6-2 at home to a rampant Stamford Bridge side.

Craig Hargreaves notched twice for the visitors with a Chris Bowles penalty, plus goals from Kalum Horne, Kieran Flanagan and Adam Hargreaves completing their haul.

Crayke’s goals came from Sean Murray’s penalty and Tom Hilling’s second half effort.

Division four fixtures were hit by rainfall, but Kirkbymoorside swamped Wheldrake 13-1.
