Keith Lowe signs permanent deal with York City
YORK CITY have signed Cheltenham Town defender Keith Lowe on a permanent deal.
The centre-back, who has been on loan at Bootham Crescent since November, has been snapped up by Minstermen manager Nigel Worthington on a two-and-a-half year contract.
Lowe has made nine appearances so far for York.
Worthington said: "We've had Keith Lowe here on loan for the last five weeks or so and he's done exceptionally well for us. He's a player that I've admired for a long time and have monitored. We have struck a deal with Cheltenham to bring him here on a full contract.
"Once again it's another good addition to the group that we've got and hopefully he can continue the good work that he's started over the last four or five weeks with us."
Lowe added: "I'm really excited. I think I've slotted in well since I came here. The lads have managed to stabilise results and things are looking positive, so I'm really excited to be part of it to be honest. Things have gone really well, the lads have welcomed me in and made it really easy for me to settle. And so have the fans and staff who've been great and have made it really easy for me."
