DAGENHAM & Redbridge danger man Zavon Hines will return from suspension for tomorrow’s Sky Bet League Two clash at York City.

Former Bradford City and West Ham winger Hines has been a key figure during the tenth-placed Daggers’ encouraging 2013/14 campaign, scoring seven goals and claiming several assists since his summer switch from Valley Parade.

He missed the 1-0 home win over Wimbledon on New Year’s Day due to serving a one-match ban after reaching five yellow cards for the season but is in line for a recall at Bootham Crescent, where on-loan Reading midfielder Lawson D’Ath will now sit out.

D’Ath was sent off for two bookable offences against the Dons and serves his suspension against the Minstermen.

His absence presents problems for tomorrow’s visitors with fellow midfielders Billy Bingham (knee) and Matt Saunders (ankle) both sidelined.

As a consequence, centre-back Luke Wilkinson could be pressed into action further up the pitch.

The Daggers will arrive in North Yorkshire without a win on the road in eight matches – a sequence that includes six defeats.

In total, the Essex club have tasted victory on their League Two travels just twice this term – at Accrington and Southend – while only second-bottom Torquay (22) have conceded more away goals than the 21 shipped by Wayne Burnett’s men in the division.

Along with Hines, former Arsenal reserve Rhys Murphy is expected to attract interest during the January transfer window.

Eleven-goal Murphy, 23, is League Two’s second-highest marksman behind Scunthorpe’s Sam Winnall.

Dagenham (probable): Lewington, Connors, Doe, Saah, Hoyte, Wilkinson, Ogogo, Howell, Elito, Murphy, Hines.
