Sporting Knavesmire took advantage of a day off for rivals Ouseburn to open up a three-point gap at the top of division three in the York Minster Engineering Football League.
Ryan Gothard gave the leaders a 1-0 half-time lead over Stamford Bridge and that was consolidated in the second-half with further strikes from Jake Duckworth, Scott Backhouse and Mike Eddom.
Leigh Dutton hit a hat-trick as third-placed York Acorn defeated Rufforth 4-0.
Connor Larner completed the scoring.
Selby Olympia bounced back from the previous weekend’s defeat with an emphatic 5-1 win over Tadcaster Town.
Haydn Parsonage hit the goal of the game with a spectacular volley for Olympia, who also had a penalty saved late in the game by Tadcaster’s substitute goalkeeper.
