YORK City are without a win in 11 Sky Bet League Two matches after a 2-1 defeat at Bury.

The Minstermen paid for a poor first-half performance at Gigg Lane as they conceded twice and could have trailed by three or four goals.

Anton Forrester put the Shakers in front with a close range finish in the first minute, and Nathan Cameron added the second on 18 minutes.

Michael Coulson and Tom Platt were thrown on at half-time in place of Josh Carson and Lewis Montrose, but the visitors struggled to turn the game around.

They eventually found a way through when Coulson tapped in from close range on 73 minutes - two minutes after Lanre Oyebanjo went down in the box and was booked for diving.

City have now lost three and drawn eight since their last win - a 4-1 home success over Scunthorpe on October 29.

Today's defeat means Nigel Worthington's side slip to 22nd in the League Two table.

Bootham Crescent will now stage two games in four days as Morecambe visit on New Year's Day ahead of the home match with Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
