A PAIR of cricket trophies are being sought by officials of the Hunters York & District Senior League.
Albert Pattison said the league were keen to track down the original Frank Piercy Trophy and the South Ryedale League trophy.
“We are trying to locate two missing trophies and would be pleased to hear from anyone who has information as to their whereabouts.
“The original Frank Piercy Trophy was lost some years ago, possibly in the Pocklington area.
“The base contained the only known record of the early winners of the competition. Details are required for historic records.
“The South Ryedale League competition for intermediate players ceased to function more than ten years ago.
“We are keen to locate the trophy, which was donated by Ryedale District Council, so that it can be recycled for the under-21 Inter-League Knockout competition.”
Anyone with information can phone Pattison on 01904 490394 or email pennyserenade@tiscali.co.uk
