Dringhouses and Dunnington continue to set the pace at the top of York Minster Engineering Football League reserve ‘A’ after convincing away victories.

Sam Pepper, Joe Gaughan and Sam Lake gave leaders Dringhouses a 3-0 victory at Church Fenton, while Dunnington enjoyed a clear cut 4-0 success at last year’s runners-up, Wigginton.

Rob Hart, Andy Rose, Simon Castle and Bradley Swainston found the net for the defending champions.

Easingwold continued their recent good form with a 2-1 win at Old Malton St Mary’s. Brandon Carrick and Jordan Green grabbed their goals with Dean Nuttall replying.

Haxby held a half-time lead at Huntington thanks to Shane Bogg, but Dan Hood hit a second half brace to snatch the points.

Collen Cummings (2) and Dave Clark scored for York RI as they beat Copmanthorpe 3-2, with Sam Bibby hitting a double for the away side.

Malton & Norton suffered a 6-1 beating at the hands of reserve ‘B’ leaders Tadcaster Magnets as the table toppers extended their lead to ten points. Callum Holmes was the Malton & Norton scorer.

Fulford moved into second place with a 4-2 victory over ten-man Bishopthorpe, who held the lead at 2-1 in the second half. However, Fulford won it with goals from Joe Konarski (2), Matthew Newsham and Andrew Browse.

Dan Topping and Russ Carr scored for Heslington at Riccall, but it was the away side who ran out 6-2 winners. Brett Collier bagged a brace, adding to solo efforts from James Brunyard, Martin Howson, Daniel Rodwell and Michael Carmody.

Stamford Bridge lost out 5-3 at home to Pocklington. The Stamford scorers were Greg Ashcroft (2) and Alex Smith.

In reserve ‘C’, the top and bottom sides drew 3-3, with Liam Longden bagging a brace to add to Danny Morrison’s strike to gain Strensall a share of the points against leaders Thorpe United.

St Clement’s and Hemingbrough shared nine goals, with ’Brough winning 6-3. Dylan Henderson, Gavin Mercer and Ricki Mizzi scored for Saints, but Dan Collins (2), Joe Dack, Dave Young, Arron White and Daryl Tate won it.
