TURNING draws into wins is the priority for York City boss Nigel Worthington after a run of six stalemates in eight Sky Bet League Two matches.
After Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Burton Albion, Worthington’s team have gone eight games without a win and tasted victory only once in their last 13 outings.
But with six of those fixtures finishing even, Worthington said: “We’ve had a lot of draws and we’ve got to try to change those into wins.
“Sometimes that is easier said than done, but we’ve just got to keep working hard because our shape is good and the players are carrying out what they are being asked to do.”
Goalkeeper Michael Ingham did not recover from his hip flexor problem in time to feature at Burton, but is hoping to be back in contention against Oxford on Saturday.
Luke O’Neill is also expected to be available after being withdrawn with a minor ankle problem at Burton.
